Happy Critters Farm - Pittsfield, New Hampshire

Sharon Blais has become a regular at our markets.  Sharon raises her own goats and uses the Nubian milk to create soaps with over 30 fantastic scents. Besides soaps, she has lip balms, insect guard, lotions, and unique room & linen sprays. Your best friend can also enjoy her soap; her Dog Shampoo bar was featured by Dog in Sight. We've been using it on Molly, our beagle, and it makes her coat very soft (and clean until her next roll in something smelly & dirty). You can also visit www.HappyCrittersFarm.com for more information on her wonderful products. Sharon will be at the market both weekends.
Sharon's homemade soaps retain their natural glycerin. Goat milk contains the highest butterfat at over 5% making this milk a natural emollient in itself. Sharon uses only pure essential oils and sometimes high quality fragrance oils to achieve a soft and natural scent. The raw shea butter is harvested and processed by women in Africa, supported through the fair trade alliance. Each ingredient provides a crucial component in creating a stable and rinseable lather. Happy Critter Soaps rinse clean, even in the hardest NH well water. You will notice the soaps will last longer than commercial bars. All bars are hand cut and cured for 3 weeks prior to being sold.

Momma Nookie's Homemade Cookies - Lancaster, New Hampshire

Momma Nookie's Homemade Cookies made in Lancaster NHNancy Roberts started her business about three years ago and has made a name for herself in our area. She's now a vital member of our Lupine Festival Market. She will be at the market both weekends and will be INSIDE the Meetinghouse. Stop by as she's going to have a great selection of cookies for you. She sells her cookies by the baker's dozen, and she hands out free samples! Try her White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie (my favorite) or the other favorite in the store, Peanut Butter Surprise (or try the Snickerdoodles that we convinced her to start baking). Nancy also is our baker for our own Cheese Balls (those tasty Cheddar Cheese Cracker Bites with a snap of Tabasco in them). Check out www.mommanookies.com for more information.

Our store also carries Nancy's cookies and if you give us your order by Tuesday morning, the cookies will be at our store on Friday. You can also find her cookies at the Franconia Village Store, Littleton Co-op, Top of the Hill in Dalton, and at the Farmers' Markets in Lancaster, Littleton, Bethlehem, and also at the NH-Made Stores on I-95! We even had someone e-mail us because he needed to have a bag of Nancy's cookies to propose to his girlfriend with. It seems that his girlfriend really enjoyed the cookies when they stopped at our store last year and he wanted to sweeten his marriage proposal. But unlike the fairy tale ending, the girl didn't say "yes".

Photo Sensitivity - Whitefield, New Hampshire

Valerie Hill is well-known in our area for her northern New England landscape photography. She always has a lovely selection of note cards, matted, and framed photo art. You'll also see a bit of Valerie's personality and interests in her photos (you'll find a few matted shots from Fenway Park)! You often see her work featured in our some of our local galleries. Valerie attends several shows/fairs during the year and has a calendar (as well as a gallery) on her website:www.photo-sensitivity.com . Our store also carries some of her lovely cards, including one she makes special for us of the Sugar Hill Fire Engine #2 that is housed at the Sugar Hill Museum. Look for Valerie both weekends of the Festival market.

Pillow Surprize from Alton New HampshirePillow Surprize
Alton, New Hampshire

Lee DiGiovanni joined our market in June 2006. Her pillows unfold into lovely lap quilts. They are quite warm with little weight, machine washable, and dryable. She has a wide variety of patterns and colors (always on the lookout for that interesting fabric). She's been making her lap quilt pillows for 18 years and welcomes your special orders. She has lupine fabric this year, but last I heard it was still fabric and not a quilt yet!! She'll be at both weekends of our Market so if you don't see what you like, let her know and it might be there the next weekend. To special order quilts or for more information, contact Lee by e-mail.

Karen Tucker Decorative Plates from Newburyport Massachusetts
Pretty Paper Designs - Salisbury, Massachusetts

Karen Tucker makes these beautiful decorative plates - just the thing for the special dessert you want to serve or to hang on the dining room wall. Each plate is handcrafted and unique. She also made some ornaments but unfortunately sold out of them first thing in the morning when she came last year, so I didn't get a picture of them. Karen's coming the last weekend of the festival, June 19-20. If you'd like more information on Karen's functional artwork, e-mail: Karen

Whitefield, New Hampshire

Terry Fitzpatrick Tetreault joins our Lupine Festival with her hand-crafted adornments, barrettes, jewelry, and more. She brings both color and personality to the market. Her jewelry is wearable art made of light weight hand-painted polymer clay, natural elements, and beads. Her barrettes piece is carefully painted and signed and made with high quality imported french style clips. You can learn more about her wonderful jewelry by going to, www.lucidlizard.com. She can only make the first weekend June 12-13 but I think she is also part of the Art Show on June 5-6 at the Lupine Festival.

All Good Foods
Landaff, New Hampshire

Garrett & Lisa Blake's Catering Wagon won't be at the market this year because they've opened a new restaurant in Lisbon, check it out!. They offer popular pub fare and are located at 16 North Street in Lisbon, New Hampshire although they still will be taking their wagon to festivals, fares, and catering jobs.

We invited them to join us on very short notice last year and they did a great job, so we will miss them this year. They brought Burritos, Quesadillas, BBQ chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Caesar Wraps, Sausage, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Smoothies, and Iced Coffee. Something for everyone and everyone seemed to be pleased with the choices. If you would like to have them cater your event, you can reach Garrett or Lisa by e-mail at allgoodfoods@gmail.com or call them at 603-838-2298.

The Vermont Apron Company
St. Johnsbury, Vermont

Susannah Allen is coming to the Market as a new vendor this year. She's bringing aprons, hats, tablerunners, and tea cozies. Take a minute to look at her website: www.VermontApron.com,

She more varieties of aprons than I expected. I was enthralled with the harvest apron, it made so much sense as I often pull up the ends of apron to carry things. She's only coming June 12th and 13th so take time to stop and see if you don't see an apron that would be perfect for you during that weekend.
