20o9 Autumn Color

This is going to be a great time to go out leaf peeping. North of Franconia Notch, some of our trees have lost most of their leaves but plenty of other trees still have colorful leaves (and some are still turning). I took this top photo at the Hugh Gallen viewing site off I-93 just north of Franconia Notch. The bottom photos were taken on Lover's Lane in Sugar Hill. Note the photo to the far right - one tree has lost all its leaves and another is just starting to turn color!

I was also in Lincoln today (sorry, I couldn't stop for photos) and they are at full peak on that side of Franconia Notch.. Come enjoy the show!

OK, Mark of the Bretton Woods Canopy Tour has proven that you can take good photos of a rainbow, I'll just have to keep practicing. This was taken this morning and the Canopy Tour headquarters is just about where the "pot of gold" should be found. We've had some crazy weather this week with sun one minute and "wicked" winds and rains the next!

Bryan & Suzanne Flagg are still taking days off to hike but they didn't have much of a view on this day with that fog on Mt. Lincoln! They took the Falling Waters Trail and as you can see the water is falling there! Don't forget to check out their newspaper's website: www.northcountrynewsnh.com for articles, activities, and photos in our area.

Check out the photos taken earlier!

Sometimes I add photos to previous days, take a minute to look back . . .
