 The lupine field at the Sugar Hill Sampler was partially plowed under last year to control weeds that were choking out the lupine plants.
   If you look closely in the plowed field at the Sugar Hill Sampler, you'll see young lupine plants coming up . . . they're only a couple of inches tall at this point. They are quite small compared to the lupines at Harman's Birdhouse growing nicely.

Surprise!! Ok, its not a Lupine but I was so pleased to see a Lady Slipper mixed in with
the lupines that I included the photo.
 
    The sunshine is doing its thing and the first blooms are out!

I saw my first pinks today but most of the lupine plants are just starting to produce their flower spikes.
