These photographs followed our lupines as they progressed from seedlings to blooms and back to seeds.

I photographed not only the most popular fields but also along our country roads to find some tucked away treasures.

Sunday's sunshine brought a few early lupines out on Timber lane, 12 days before the Festival but most of our lupines are still in the growing stage.

Lupine grow where they want to grow. Our neighbors have one growing practically in the driveway. We'd like them to grow in back of our store, but they prefer the strawberry or asparagus beds where we don't want them to grow.
The other photos from today show a single pink blooming first in its field on the Center District Road. The Church field to the right below hasn't starting blooming yet, although down further in the field towards the pond there was another pink Lupine starting to bloom, getting a head start on all the blues.

I walked down into the field by St. Matthew's church to capture this pink lupine just starting to bloom. They framed the church beautifully.
