| Return to: | We will bring you an online progress report of the budding and blooming of this year's lupines throughout the festival and beyond. This spring show is truly amazing. You just won't believe just how extensively lupines blanket our area unless you see for yourself. We will be following the blooming of the most popular areas while taking you along the country roads to reveal local hidden treasures. |

The Lupine pods have popped opened, seeds have been scattered, and the fields are being mowed. If you look real close (with a magnifying glass) you'll see a turkey in the field. | |||
![]() The seed pods are starting to dry out. |
![]() Amazingly the field at the Sampler has lupine blooming midst the seeds pods. |

| The fields are grey with seed pods but surprisingly you still find a "late bloomer" here and there. | ||||

![]() Our familiar birdhouse appears again. Take a look at this same scene beginning with a series of Birdhouse photos beginning on June 7. |

| Now that the fields aren't as crowded with people you can hear & see the bees everywhere as they work on the lupine blooms. | ![]() |
![]() The church looks great with its new coat of paint midst the lupine field mixed with blooms & seed pods. |
||
| There are still some great lupines blooming and we'll follow the progress until at least August so that you can see the seed pods dry and pop open. I won't be taking pictures every day but we'll try to do it 2 or 3 times a week. Our thanks to Barbara Sisson at the technical end of this lupine diary that has kept the 2005 photo diary up-to-date. | ||||
Look at all these seeds on Timber Lane(right), lots of future lupine plants here. |

| The lupines will bloom for a while yet. If you look closely in the fields you'll find many plants like this one. On this one plant - you find 3 stalks of flowers going to seed, two stalks just starting to bloom, and 3 tight buds waiting to bloom. | ![]() |
